5. Do we make use of artificial intelligence?
Yes, we sometimes make use of artificial intelligence (AI). However, we do not use your personal data in any automated decision-making process (in which decisions are made solely through the creation and application of
technologies without any human intervention) or profiling (processing personal data with a variety of technologies that reduce human intervention to assess certain conditions with respect to an individual) that produces a legal or other equally significant effect that you are interested in.
We use a variety of technologies to analyze the data. In the case of our Web site, we may use search terms for job recommendation. In such processes, there is always human intervention, however, as we use such tools to assist our human experts responsible for making decisions.
Adecco uses automated systems/processes under the conditions described in the preceding paragraph to recommend and display alternative search results to the search performed, primarily for the purpose of broadening the range of job openings from which to choose. Therefore, such AI systems do not produce legal effects.
For example, when you search for a job position such as "warehouse worker," alternative but similar jobs such as "packaging clerk" will also be displayed. 6. Do we share your data with third parties?
We disclose your information to third parties in order to use it more efficiently and provide you with content, resources and/or services. However, data are shared only under the following circumstances:
- To suppliers. We will, for example, contract a vendor to carry out administrative and operational activities that are useful for the purpose of the relationship with you. We use a variety of technologies to analyze the data. In the case of our Web site, we may use search terms for job recommendation. In such processes, there is always human intervention, however, as we use such tools to assist our human experts responsible for making decisions.
Adecco uses automated systems/processes under the conditions described in the preceding paragraph to recommend and display alternative search results to the search performed, primarily for the purpose of broadening the range of job openings from which to choose. Therefore, such AI systems do not produce legal effects.
For example, when you search for a job position such as "warehouse worker," alternative but similar jobs such as "packaging clerk" will also be displayed. AI could be used in a part of the processing (e.g., through statistical and machine learning, logic or knowledge-based approaches) that relies on natural language processing techniques to calculate similarities between terms and word meanings. In any case, these results are shown only as recommendations for making an informed decision about one's candidacy.
6. Do we share your data with third parties?
We disclose your information to third parties in order to use it more efficiently and provide you with content, resources and/or services. However, data are shared only under the following circumstances:
- To suppliers. We will, for example, contract a vendor to carry out administrative and operational activities that are useful for the purpose of the relationship with you. The provider(s) will be subject to contractual and other legal obligations regarding data confidentiality and privacy compliance and will have access only to the data they need to perform their functions; generally, these are IT service providers (who host or support the Company's IT systems, including information about you), venue management companies (who are responsible for the physical security of the buildings and who therefore need to know your information in order to allow you to access the premises), and financial and accounting back-office service providers (who need to manage the information about you in order to process your debit and credit positions).
